Working in veterinary medicine is special to me because I get to advocate for animals who can’t tell us what they need. I love knowing that I can make even a small difference in their lives, while also being there to comfort and support their owners through both the happy and difficult moments.

I’ve been part of the R Veterinary at the Lake team for almost 9 years and am currently in school pursuing my RVT. I enjoy the hands-on, ever-changing nature of veterinary medicine and the opportunity to continue learning and growing in a field that I’ve become deeply passionate about. I became interested in veterinary medicine long before I understood how much this job would become a part of who I am. When I started at R Vet in 2017, I knew I wanted to work with animals, but I didn’t fully understand everything that came with being in veterinary medicine. Losing my own dog, Bex, to cancer at just 2½ years old in 2023 gave me a perspective I couldn’t have learned in a classroom. For the first time, I understood what it felt like to be the owner who is scared, overwhelmed, waiting for answers, and having to make difficult decisions for an animal you would do anything for. Losing Bex changed the way I approach my work and made me more aware of the fear and uncertainty that can come with being a client. That experience has become a big part of why I want to continue growing in veterinary medicine and pursue my RVT, while always remembering what it feels like to put the care of your pet in someone else’s hands.

Ella has been passionate about animals for as long as she can remember and feels incredibly lucky to turn her childhood dream into a career. She truly loves what she does and feels that caring for animals is exactly what she was meant to do.

Advocating for my patients and being a steady hand for owners when things get tough is what it’s all about for me. I’m truly passionate about providing great care for animals at every stage of their lives, and being someone owners can lean on during difficult times is easily the best part of my job.

Kenzi is a valued member of the R Veterinary team at our Lake of the Ozarks location. As a veterinary technician, she plays an important role in helping patients receive thoughtful, compassionate care throughout their visits. From supporting the veterinary team to helping pets and their families feel comfortable, Kenzi brings a caring and dependable presence to the clinic each day. She enjoys being part of a team that works together to make a difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them.

My love for animals started at a young age with wildlife and a Border Collie named Libby. I have never lost my love for wildlife and I doubt I ever will, and decided that working with people's pets would fulfilling that dream of working with animals. Now I work at R Veterinary to help people's furry companions and to continue loving animals.

I love working in veterinary medicine because I have loved all animals since I can remember.  It's great to work at a veterinary hospital that has an office manager like Jen who is very passionate about animal care. Also Veterinarians who are very passionate about animal care and staff as well.

I work as a receptionist and veterinary technician at a small animal clinic, where I help care for both cats and dogs. I enjoy getting to know our clients and their pets while helping make each visit as smooth and stress-free as possible.

With 22 years of dedicated experience in the veterinary field, my passion for animal care is matched only by my commitment to exceptional customer service. I love what I do every day, ensuring both patients and their owners feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for. At a young age I was fueled by my deep love for animals and I was thrilled to embrace an incredible opportunity to join an animal hospital to dedicate myself to the health and wellbeing of every pet. I’m passionate about working with animals because I believe they deserve compassion, patience, and the highest level of care throughout every stage of their lives. Since 2021 i have been dedicated to creating a positive, supportive experience for both pets and the people who love them. She loves working in veterinary medicine because she enjoys helping both pets and the people who love them. As a receptionist and operator, she takes pride in being a reassuring voice for clients and helping each visit run as smoothly as possible. She loves knowing that, even from the front desk, she plays an important role in making a difference for animals every day.

What makes vet med enjoyable for me is that every day brings something new to learn. I also find it rewarding to play a small role in an animal’s care and be there for them when they need support. Knowing that my work can help improve their  comfort is what makes this field so special to me.

I like that every animal has a different personality, and I enjoy getting to know how they react to different situations. I also like that the work is hands-on and that there’s always something different going on.
